And that’s a wrap on the book tour. I’m currently in a rest stop on the Ohio Turnpike, catching up on some freelancing and drinking coffee. There’s going to be one more post in this series, I think, in a more “what were the lessons we learned along the way” vein, but for now…

Last night’s reading at Book Suey was fascinating, not least of which was because I learned about the relationship between Detroit and Hamtramck. Book Suey itself was a terrific spot, and it was great to see the esteemed Sean Madigan Hoen – who set the whole thing up – again. And to meet a bunch of people I know only from The Musical and Literary Internet (Nicholas Rombes, Dan Wickett, and Joe Steinhardt) in real life.
Traded books with John Freeman and Christina Kallery, and I’m looking forward to having more poetry in my life.
After the reading I drove down to Perrysburg, OH and spent the night in a Red Roof Inn by the highway; now, I’m on my way home. All told, I’ll have put a little over 3,000 miles on the odometer by the time I get back. Mileage well spent, I’d say.
