Some impressions on Columbus, Ohio from someone who’s never visited it before:
- Great food, great shops, drivers who don’t seem aggressively determined to hate everyone else on the road.
- Two Dollar Radio HQ is a terrific bookstore, and getting to catch up with Eric and Eliza from TDR was fantastic.
- Bela Koe-Krompecher is a fantastic conversational partner, and the format of the second half of the event – i.e. each of us asking the other questions about books, writing, and music – went very well.
- Bela’s memoir is fantastic and highly recommended. It also got me to spend a lot of money at Used Kids Records when I first arrived in town.

Currently holed up in New Castle, Indiana catching up on some work en route to Kansas City. Which will be a slightly longer drive than I anticipated. Am also trying to figure out if one of my phone chargers imploded overnight, which I am currently classifying a problem to deal with in Kansas City.
